Six years of working at MDPI has given me invaluable experience, both professionally and personally. After my Ph.D. studies, I was ready for the new challenges, looking for a dynamic, simulative, and friendly working environment. MDPI looked like a perfect place, and the company indeed fulfilled all my expectations and much more. I am passionate about my job because it provides opportunities for constant learning and sharing scientific knowledge with everyone, support in every step, and working with great people.

It has always attracted me to work in large business systems and systems that are organized and have a pronounced vertical business hierarchy. This is what initially attracted me to apply for a job at MDPI. Fortunately for me, I became part of one such system last year, and my impressions are only positive. Considering that I am in daily contact with science (and I am a biologist), communicating with academics (and communication is something that drives me), and that I am surrounded by a great team (good business energy motivates me), I can only add the following: MDPI is definitely my dream job and I still can not wait for the morning to start doing my job.

As a Front-End Developer at MDPI for the past two years, I have continually improved my skills and embraced the latest technologies, contributing to innovative projects. The collaborative spirit among colleagues has been key to our shared success, and I greatly value the positive work environment, surrounded by talented and supportive colleagues. This atmosphere fosters both personal and professional growth, making it an exceptional place to advance my career.

Working at MDPI for almost three years as a Production Editor, and more than a year as a Proofreading Editor, has provided me with valuable experiences and growth opportunities. I've had the chance to tutor proofreading and conduct training sessions for departments worldwide, which has been both rewarding and enriching. One of the best things about working at MDPI is the people. Every day, I get to work with amazing colleagues who create a supportive and motivating atmosphere. This sense of teamwork and genuine connection makes MDPI a special place to work. Additionally, the company’s focus on its employees—whether by building new skills or advancing in our careers—makes it clear that our efforts are truly valued. I’ve grown so much here, both professionally and personally, thanks to the incredible team around me.

I have been working in MDPI for almost a year in the admin section. This job taught me better organization and communication with employees and suppliers and a lot of new staff on daily basis. It allowed me to meet colleagues from different cultures and exchange experience, which meant a lot to me in my further work. The work is very dynamic and people are hard-working and very friendly.

Working in a diverse and international environment is particularly important, especially after finishing studies and being among peers with similar interests and goals. At MDPI, I've had the chance to experience different cultures, better understand variations in work ethic, and develop into an open-minded person with a deep appreciation for diversity. This is something we often overlook and undervalue. Working at the MDPI as a Communications Assistant for almost a year has been a very rewarding experience for me. I have gained valuable skills and knowledge about open access publishing that I know will benefit me in my future career. This includes proficiency in writing and editing, as well as using various digital communication platforms such as email and messaging apps. This role can help you improve your communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as your organizational and time management skills. The team environment has been very supportive and welcoming which is essential for achieving success and overcoming obstacles in any organization.
